U13 Result from tonights game.

The U13’s moved into the 4th round, with a very close win against Steyning tonight.

Plenty of support, saw the boys score 79 all out and restrict Steyning to 76-9.

A very tense finish.

It was a brilliant performance again from the bowlers and fielders, our strength in depth again being the difference.

I would like to mention two outstanding performances.

James Carter with the bat, seeing the score from 25, to the final total of 79 and remaining not out. A very mature, disciplined innings, when batters on both teams found runs hard to get.

Sam Bell, as captain, bowled a very fine spell of seam bowling, hitting the stumps frequently, taking wickets and conceding very few runs.

Also mention of Matthew Bellamy, who bowled the final over, under great pressure taking a wicket and restricting the runs.

Each match it seems we have several different players performing, a sign of a very good team.

Well played boys.

Thanks to Iain, Mandy and of course Peter for the ground, which looked superb.
