Competition for aspiring Journalists….get involved.

Dear Project Manager & Schools

This summer we are teaming up with The Times to try and find the sports writing talent of the future during this fantastic summer of cricket.

We’re inviting Britain’s aspiring sports reporters to demonstrate their passion for the game by putting pen to paper. All young cricket fans have to do to enter is submit a report on their favourite game they’ve attended or played in this season. It can be any match from an Investec Ashes Test through to primary school game.

Winning entries will need to bowl over our expert panel of judges, including a top sports reporter from The Times.

The shortlisted and winning entries will be showcased on The Times online with the winners will receive a once in a lifetime opportunity to take their seat in the J.P. Morgan Media Centre at Lord’s and report on the YB40 Final on 21st September 2013.

The winners will also receive three additional tickets for their friends and family to join them at the final Anyone aged up to 16 years old can enter with the competition split between two categories, 11 years and under and 12-16, so please pass this message on to all of your junior members.

To enter, either send in your match report to or post it to Junior Journo, Cricket Foundation, Lord’s Cricket Ground, St. John’s Wood Road, London, NW8 8QZ before Monday 9th September 2013 when the competition closes. The terms and conditions can be viewed at
