Middleton Colts Update…Winter Training/West Warriors.

Congratulations to George Richards who has been selected for the U15 training squad. I aslo understand at the Senior awards George picked up the young player of the year award…again congratulations.

All MCC players nominated for assessment have been selected. This is a great achievement for all players and coaches.

The training programme will be challenging,  players will have the opportunity to work with new coaches, to develop their skills. Remember you are representing yourself and your club. The coaches access not only cricket skills, cricket is a team game combining many individuals and their talents.

During the training, the Sussex Youth Team managers attend and a decision is made about players being selected for county trials at Hove in January.

Players who attend  county trials, are assured of either County Recognition or Area selection. Players not selected for County trials are considered for Area Selection.

Further training takes place during the spring for Area and County squad members. This will be communicated.

Womens Cricket.

Jess Young, Holy Hefron and Eve Boulos are attending trials for the Sussex teams in October, we wish them well.

Development Training.

The Area also provide development training on a non selective basis to all players 10-15yrs. This takes place during the early part of Jan/Feb 13 at Littlehampton. Again  a great opportunity to access top quality coaching .

More of this later in the year.

Middleton CC Colts Training.

We are planning to train From January to April indoors. Full details to be confirmed, but hopefully at the Littlehampton Academy, where the Area training takes place.

End of Season Presentations.

Plans are under way for this event, more to follow.

There is much to celebrate,  for the club, teams and individuals who have all contributed so much, on this note, congratulations to,

Jack Dawling U11 West Warrior Player of the Year.

A great Achievement and just reward for a season of representative cricket. Captaining, batting, keeping wicket and bowling during the season. The managers had no hesitation in making this award to Jack.

Jack has been invited to The County Ground at Hove to receive his award during the County Youth Awards event on 17th October.

The September weather, again, proves that we should still  be playing cricket?
