Middleton U10’s start in style.

           The indoor season started at Westergate for the young u10 Middleton side.
Debuts for Aaron Tester, Lewis Tetley and Jay Coackaday, the experience of Sam Bell capt, Ben Taylor and Matt Bellamy, ensured the team started well. Recording another victory after an undefeated previous season.
Bognor were the opponants.
           Winning the toss and choosing to bowl, the bowlers got to work, with good overs from all the players, the fielding and catching were excellent, 3 wickets for Aaron, and excellent catching from Ben and Aaron. Matt Bellamy took the vital wicket  of the Bognor captain..clean bowled with a quick straight first up ball and kept wicket well. Sam Bell bowled with great pace.
            It was good to see the spinners Ben and Jay giving the ball plenty of air. Lewis Tetley on debut found a good line and length.

             Middleton started with Sam and Ben, runs were added quickly with some good striking and running, 2 quick wickets clean bowled, Ben and Matt, caused a wobble. Sam looked solid and  an excellent partnership with Jay took Middleton to a comfortable victory. Sam finishing with a tremendous straight six. Jay hit the ball into space and ran well.

             Both sides played well,  Despite the match finishing early, all overs were used up so players could practice  their skills.
